We need your vote!

Dear Somerset Neighbors,

Our Annual Homeowners Meeting is scheduled for Monday November 14th at 7:00 pm at the clubhouse. At this year’s meeting we will be electing new board members and approving the 2017 budget and dues. There is no change in either SHOA or Pool/Tennis dues.

*** We NEED your votes on these items. If you will not be able to attend the meeting, you can still vote by proxy. Here are links to two proxy forms:

1) One allows you to designate a trusted neighbor or the board (whom you also should trust) to vote on your behalf at the meeting.

Proxy Form

2) The other form allows you to vote directly on the two ballot items: Election of Officers and Committee Chairs, and 2017 SHOA & Pool/Tennis Operating Budgets.

SHOA Ballot

We know that busy schedules can make it difficult to attend the meeting, so these forms let you participate without actually being there.  Please be sure to complete and submit one of the proxy forms if you cannot be at the meeting.

Please complete one or the other, but not both, of the forms. You can put your form in the SHOA mailbox at the clubhouse entrance or give it to a neighbor that you know will be attending.   The proxy designation form, if designating the board to cast your vote, can also be delivered via the same means. If you are designating a specific neighbor they will need to bring your designation form with them to the meeting.

A brief agenda of the meeting is as follows:

  •     Introduction of Board & committee chairs,                                 and nominees for 2017/2018 term
  •     Report on 2016 accomplishments
  •     Membership and Budget Presentations
  •     Election of Officers & committee chairs
  •     Passing of the 2017 budget and dues

As always, next year’s budget is based on this year’s income.  And as always, we operate on a balanced budget, putting aside some funds for capital expense reserves and long-term savings.

Please come join your board and your neighbors on Monday November 14th at 7:00 pm at the clubhouse.

Best,

Mark Stieneker
SHOA President
