POOL ETIQUETTE, RULES & GUIDELINES

Complete rules are above. Please read and follow them!

  • Non-potty trained children MUST wear tight fitting rubber pants and a swim diaper along with bathing suit while in the pool. Children may not wear paper diapers while in the pool. One accident can shut down the pool for 24 hours so we try desperately to avoid them.
  • Glass containers (bottles, glasses, etc.) are NOT permitted in the pool area. Like a non-potty trained child having an accident in the water, glass can shut down a pool for an extended period.
  • Please be considerate of other pool members and always clean up after yourselves. Tables, lounge chairs, grills, and the kitchen area (including microwave, stove and refrigerator) are for everyone’s use AND require that everyone do their part.
  • The refrigerator is emptied every Sunday night so leaving things in it past then is risky business.
  • Please keep in mind that the lifeguard’s main responsibility is to protect us from the inherent dangers associated with a large pool. If they perceive any activities to be dangerous, they will ask for the activities to cease. If they do not receive cooperation, they can then ask the responsible parties to leave the pool area. We will support them on this 100%.
  • Finally, on a personal note, we ask you to remember that when we and our family are at the pool we are also hoping to have a relaxing visit. If you experience a problem that is an emergency, then by all means approach us and we will tend to it immediately. If, however, the problem is not of a critical nature, then please jot it down and email us putting “Pool Concern or Suggestion” in the subject line. We will look into it as soon as possible.

Thank you for your cooperation. Have a SAFE and FUN summer at the Somerset pool! We look forward to seeing you there.
