2013 Pool Operating Schedule and Information |
The Somerset Pool will be open starting the weekend of May 18/19 (Delayed a week by weather, construction) |
We're looking forward to a GREAT pool season!!
- We have a brand-new roofed pavilion added to the clubhouse near the shallow end of the pool, providing 440 square feet of shaded seating area.
- All of the deck chairs and lounges have been professionally re-strapped and powder-coated, so they are like new!
- The parking lot has been completely repaved and restriped, with revamped drainage to eliminate those nasty puddles!
|
All pool/tennis members who have paid their 2013 dues will receive a 2013 member badge and complete information packet in their mailboxes soon. If you haven't signed up yet, do it now so you don't miss any pool time!!
As it was last season, the pool will be open, with lifeguard on duty, until 9pm every night during the season (with the exception of Sunday nights after school starts in August).
The Pool/Tennis/Clubhouse complex will close completely at 9pm, unless there is a private party in the clubhouse. Extended-hours access to the pool will be 6-10am daily.

Pool Etiquette, Rules and Guidelines |
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Complete and current Somerset Pool Rules are RIGHT HERE Please read and follow them!
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Non-potty trained children MUST wear tight fitting rubber pants and a swim diaper along with bathing suit while in the pool. Children may not wear paper diapers while in the pool. One accident can shut down the pool for 24 hours so we try desperately to avoid them.
- Under no circumstances are glass containers (bottles, glasses etc.) permitted in the pool area. This is a rule that is extremely important as broken glass can shut down a pool for an extended period.
- Tables, lounge chairs, grills and the kitchen area (including microwave, stove and refrigerator) are for everyone's use. They will always be clean when the pool opens. If we clean up after ourselves during the day they will remain that way the entire time the pool is open. Please be considerate of the other members.
- The refrigerator is emptied each night so leaving things in it past the pool's closing hour is risky business.
- Please keep in mind that the lifeguard's main responsibility is to protect us from the inherent dangers associated with a large pool. If they perceive any activities to be dangerous they will ask for the activities to cease. If they do not receive cooperation they can then ask the responsible parties to leave the pool area. We will support them on this 100%.
- Finally, on a personal note we would ask you to remember that when we and our family are at the pool we are also hoping to have a relaxing visit. If you experience a problem that is an emergency then by all means approach us and we will tend to it immediately. If however the problem is not of a critical nature then please jot down your suggestion or complaint and email us putting the word "pool" in the subject line. We will look into it as soon as possible.
- If everyone follows these simple rules I'm sure we'll have a great time at the pool this summer.
